Women of Wine Tasting

At $35 after added gratuities, the wine tasting packs a bang for its buck.  It is not something that you can purchase pre-cruise in the cruise planner. Look for it on your cruise compass.  It typically takes place in the Main Dining Room.  It is led by one of the ships sommeliers and involves a video that goes with the tasting of each wine.  Each wine is also paired with a food, like a particular fruit or cheese.  By the end of the wine tasting, you will have tried 7 glasses of wine and then you can request more of one that you especially enjoyed.  You also get to spend some time socializing with the people at the wine tasting.

As someone who does not get the drink package, I think this is a great way to spend some of your hard earned cash while on board.  The wine that is chosen is very tasty, and, if you have a sommelier who is as knowledgeable (which will likely be the case), you will learn a lot as well.  I highly recommend this activity and I think that it is a shame that it isn’t advertised more.
