Arawak Aqua Park
The Arawak Aqua Park is and inflatable water park located at Royal Caribbean's private destination, Labadee. Our family gave it a try on our most recent cruise.
Found in the cruise planner, you can pre-pay for and choose the time slot for your group. You will find tickets for the excursions in your stateroom upon arrival. Once off the ship at Labadee, you can catch the trolley over to Columbus Cove where the Arawak Aqua Park is located. You will check in, sign a waiver and receive your arm bands. At your selected time, you will put on life jackets and then can enjoy your hour on the inflatable water park. Many of the items require quite a bit of strength and balance to master and enjoy. Similar to what you may have seen on the TV show Wipeout!, there are trampolines, slippery walkways, climbing apparatuses, slides and more. They limit the number of people per hour as each apparatus is limited to 3-4 people.
As an alternative to the much more expensive water park found at Cococay, this is a good option for families on a budget. There were families of a variety of ages and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Everyone was tired at the end of the hour and everyone seemed to be leaving the water park happy. We were glad that we did it, but our kids also had just as much fun playing at the splash ground that we came across on our way back toward the ship. We aren’t sure if it was worth doing a second time or if it is a one and done activity.
